We are seeking Nuclear Power Plant Engineers to join the Safety Engineering & Management Group of this global consulting and engineering firm, based in Reading, Warrington or Plymouth. This is an exceptional opportunity offering a challenging career path in one of the world`s leading energy industry consultants supporting assessments of the design, development and operation of nuclear facilities and related support systems and services.

As Nuclear Power Plant Engineer you will work within a dynamic project based environment focusing on delivering safety services, including engineering design evaluation, options studies, safety case preparation and analysis, ARM studies, and safety management appraisals; from concept through design, implementation, operation and decommissioning to their global client base

To succeed as Nuclear Power Plant Engineer, you should have a BSc or MSc in a relevant engineering or scientific subject, and membership or equivalent experience of an appropriate professional institution. You should have experience of design, operations, maintenance or safety ideally with either Pressure Water Reactors (PWR) or Boiling Water Reactors (BWR), alternatively a background in the Navy working on Reactors would also be of interest. For these positions you must have a good level of experience and opportunities also exist at Consultant level for those with advanced knowledge of nuclear power plant design and/or operation.

You must also have strong analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication skills, including fluency in English. You should have good presentation and facilitation skills and must be flexible to travel and work abroad. You must be willing to work in a variety of different roles within the Safety & Reliability Group.

Due to the sensitive nature of the work, these positions require Security Clearance to be obtained so some restrictions may apply.
