JUNIOR SAFETY ENGINEERS NUCLEAR SAFETY & RELIABILITY PLYMOUTH
We are seeking Junior Safety Engineers to join the Safety Engineering & Management Group of this global consulting and engineering firm, based in Plymouth. These are exceptional career opportunities for Graduate Engineers/ Scientists to work for one of the world`s leading energy industry consultants.
You will be involved in supporting assessments of the design, development and operation of nuclear facilities and related support systems and services. The Junior Safety Engineers will work within a dynamic project based environment focusing on delivering Owner`s Engineer and safety services, including engineering design evaluation/ substantiation, options studies, safety case preparation and analysis, ARM studies, and safety management appraisals; from concept through design, implementation, operation and decommissioning to their global client base.
Under the supervision of an experienced team, the work will develop your skills in Hazard Identification techniques, Safety and Hazard Analysis, Quantified Risk Assessment, Engineering design substantiation, Option studies and Plant licensing.
No previous experience is required for the Junior Safety Engineer roles, but you should have a BSc or MSc in a relevant engineering or scientific subject, strong analytical skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills, including fluency in English.
You should have good presentation and facilitation skills and must be flexible to travel and work abroad. You must be willing to work in a variety of different roles within the Safety & Reliability Group.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, these positions require Security Clearance to be obtained so some restrictions may apply.
